From the company that made electronic hand percussion world-famous, Roland announces the second member of its HandSonic® family: the HandSonic 10 (HPD-10). More affordable and streamlined than its big brother, it offers the same great pad response that made the original HandSonic so popular, but with a specialized set of features and a fresh batch of sounds, rhythms, and effects.

An all-new collection of sounds has been created for the HandSonic 10; approximately 400 high-quality instruments are onboard. All of the percussive essentials have been included — congas, bongos, tabla, djembe, cajon, etc. — as well as melodic percussion, drum kit, special effects, and more.

Sensitive Surface
Whether you’re laying down the most delicate finger rolls or the sharpest slaps, the HandSonic 10’s playing surface can handle anything you give it. The comfortable round surface is divided into ten individual pads with pressure- and positional-sensitivity. The popular D Beam is also included for dramatic triggering. Strike a virtual gong with your head, throw your fist into a crash cymbal, wiggle your fingers over a perfect chime gliss — you get the picture.

Rhythm Coach
Flaunting your chops on the stage or in the studio is the fun part, but behind the scenes it’s practice that gets you the gigs in the first place. For this purpose, Roland has equipped the HandSonic 10 with a Rhythm Coach. This virtual trainer provides exercises to improve your timing, consistency, and endurance.

I/O Options
While the HandSonic 10 is primarily a hand percussion instrument, users can add a Roland kick pad (optional) via the external trigger input, or add a Roland V-Pad. The input is dual-trigger compatible for double the triggering power via an optional PCS-31L Y-cable.

HD-3: V-DRUMS® LITE

In addition to volume control via volume knob and/or headphones, the unique design of the HD-3 delivers ultra-quiet performance so family members and neighbors are not disturbed by the acoustic noise typically associated with drum sets.

The HD-3 has a small physical footprint, yet delivers incredible sound. The 20 preset drum sets cover rock, jazz, hip-hop, percussion, and sound effects, for creative expression in any musical style. The HD-3 sets up quickly, is neat and compact, and can be easily adjusted to fit drummers of any age and height.

QUIET KICK + CLOTH-HEAD TOM PADS + MESH-HEAD SNARE = QUIET PERFORMANCE

The quiet, integrated kick pedal has also been enhanced for comfort and improved playing response. This unique design also minimizes noise and vibration through floors and ceilings. Additionally, the cloth-head tom pads feel and respond like acoustic toms. Combined with Roland’s mesh head snare pad, the HD-3 is the quietest drum set on the market.

PLAY-ALONG FUN

The HD-3 is equipped with a mix input jack for connecting CD players, MP3 players, and other audio sources. Jam along with your favorite songs, and control the blend of music and your live drumming through headphones or an amplifier*.

CONNECTIVITY

Using MIDI you can easily connect the HD-3 to other devices to expand your sound possibilities or connect to a computer and improve your drumming skills with V-Drums Friend Jam or Roland’s DT-1 Drum Tutor software.* For gamers, the HD-3 is an ideal addition to your favorite gaming system for hours of fun.

ACCLAIMED V-CYMBALS FOR CRASH AND RIDE

With optimized weight-balance and sensitivity, the CY-12C for crash provides a natural swinging motion and accurate triggering for consistent crash performance, including choke control. As a ride cymbal, the CY-13R offers an enlarged bow area and a realistic playing feel, with accurate three-way triggering for edge, bow and bell.
